Job Role: Refuse/Recycling Loaders | Temporary on a full-time basis

Times: Monday to Friday with opportunities for overtime

Pay Rate: £13.41 per hour with overtime paid after 7.2 hours daily | Overtime Pay Rate: £20.12 per hour

We are recruiting on behalf of our client Refuse/ Recycling Loaders, to join their efficient street cleansing, waste and recycling collection service within and around Hertsmere.

The job involves collecting all types of refuse and recycling waste, from litter bins, residential bins, and trade bins, and loading them into the refuse vehicle. You will need to have excellent fitness levels and be capable of walking for 8 to 12 miles per day.

Ideally, you will have proven experience of heavy manual work involving lifting and be capable of pulling and emptying refuse bins. You should have a customer service approach to service delivery, communicating positively and working efficiently in a team. You should be self-motivated and able to work without close supervision.

To work following any safety instructions issued by our client and to ensure all accidents and other potential dangers are reported to our client’s supervisor/management team.

You will need to be responsible for your safety and not endanger that of colleagues, or others in the workplace, and the general public. You are to ensure duties undertaken are within the postholder’s area/responsibilities and are conducted following our clients’ policies and procedures and the Health and Safety Act 1974.
