Full and Part Time opportunities

Job Role: HGV Driver/Loader | Temporary on a full or part-time basis, ongoing

Times: Monday to Friday with opportunities for overtime | Start times – 6am/7am

Pay Rate: £16.50 per hour 

As an employee of CTS Recruitment Limited, you will be paid PAYE weekly as we do not use umbrella companies, so you will have no umbrella margins and/or payroll processing fees to pay.

We are looking to recruit HGV Drivers/Loaders for our client in St Albans to join their efficient street cleansing, waste, and recycling collection services. You must hold a valid Class C (category) HGV licence, valid Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph cards.

The job involves driving an HGV refuse collection vehicle and being responsible for the routine inspection, maintenance, and cleansing of the vehicle. As part of your job role, you will complete all necessary paperwork, lead, and assist a small team involved in the collection of refuse.

To work following any safety instructions issued by our client and to ensure all accidents and other potential dangers are reported to our client’s supervisor/management team.

You will need to be responsible for your safety and not endanger that of colleagues, or others in the workplace, and the general public. You are to ensure duties undertaken are within the postholder’s area/responsibilities and are conducted following our clients’ policies and procedures and the Health and Safety Act 1974. 

To apply, you will ideally need one (1) years’ experience in an HGV driving role, and you will have proven experience of manual handling and be capable of walking long distances and pulling and emptying refuse bins when required.
