Kitchen Assistants – Enfield Schools

We are currently looking to recruit kitchen assistants to work in various schools in the Enfield area. Must have 3 months experience of working in a commercial kitchen and able to work at a fast pace and able take instruction from the chef. Various shifts available from 08:00 – 14:30 / 10:00-14:30 and 11:00-15:00.

This role is working with children and vulnerable adults all so applications will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and have UK references.

Responsibilities

• Ensure work stations and floors are kept clean and hygienic
• Supporting the chef by fetching and carrying items or undertaking jobs in meal preparation
• Wash, peel and chop and cut ingredients like vegetables, meat and fish.
• Follow food hygiene and health & safety standards
• Dispose of waste and other rubbish effectively
